Friday, Chloe Girl

Today’s dressing adventure started with the heat and dressing for meetings. It was 30 degrees Celsius, that’s about 86 Fahrenheit. So a relatively hot day for going out on a bus toDrummoyne and sitting for 2 hours in a meeting.

I’m working on a new movie project so as always the Wardrobe Department has to
look Fashion Fierce. I chose this outfit for Fashion Fierce Comfort, if there is
such a thing. Unfortunately I’m like a Chloe ad but I didn’t realise till I was
already half way to my destination. I must love the brand.

I also want to point out my new most favourite thing in the whole world – My necklace.
It was a wonderful gift from Leslie Safley Design. I’ve worn it nearly everyday.
Today at my meeting, the Associate Producer came up to me and told me how she
was drawn to my necklace and I knew exactly what she was talking about. I can wear
it as a choker or longer. I absolutely love it.

Little Frills

I realised I haven’t done an outfit post for a bit so today I had my lovely Assistant Marlies take a photo of me. We have been engaged in a fantastic project that I will talk about a later stage.

Dressing up for a night out

I was invited to the Australian Photographer of the Year Awards and the BF and I decided to go. I usually don’t stress about things like this cause I love an excuse to dress up but tonight I just couldn’t get my fashion mojo to work. This resulted in me asking my boy to decide between three choices. Now this could have been a disaster as the boy wears only black, all the time with no variations. He is gorgeous but not the most creative dresser. Though in the end I think he made the right choice, we were photographed at the event and I was told by one of the organisers that I looked amazing. Not bad for no mojo.

Bell-Bottom Jeans Make a Comeback. Are You Ready?

The Cut reports:

After wide-leg jeans and high-waist trousers splashed through this year’s trend pages and stole the spotlight away from skinny jeans, yet another style is diving back into the jean pool this spring — bell bottoms. Just look at denim designer Michelle Siwy’s seventies-era inspiration for her new 24-inch flare Chloe style for Siwy Jeans. With that sort of circumference size, these flares are large enough to classify them as a new style of super-bell, if you will. And Siwy’s mass-market jeans are just one sign of a seventies comeback — Marc Jacobs‘s fall 2007 collection rallied a certain disco feel.

Disappointment – Shoes vs Wedding Outfit

Last week I finally ordered the Proenza Schouler shoes made famous by SJP in the SATC movie (during the return of the library books scene).

But unfortunately, when they arrived yesterday and I tried them on, I realised they didn’t fit well. My very high instep looked really strange in the shoes and lets face it, at designer prices, you really want to have an amazing fit. So once again I have a credit at Net-a-porter.com. This doesn’t happen often but when it does, I’m excited.

This is what I plan to buy with my credit. I have a wedding next month and want to look urban and funky but cool and sophisticated. Here is the outfit:
