Today was a weird weather day in Sydney.   We desperately need some rain and even though we are having cloudy overcast weather we haven’t had any real rain.   So today when Shane and I decided to hang out in Bondi today we thought that there wouldn’t be many people on the Beach.  Of course we were wrong, there are ALWAYS people in Bondi.  But we had a great day.  Love hanging out with my man and my bestie.

Grunging the Camel

Last night was rainy and stormy in LA so Shane and I thought it was perfect for going to the movies.  We were right cause there was hardly anyone in the theatre but man was it scary driving there and back.

For our movie date night I thought I would dress down a bit but one of the only coats I brought to suit LA weather was my gorgeous new camel coloured Zara coat.  I paired it with some of my grungy gear and I think it worked.

Hiking in Hollywood

Today Shane and I decided to take a hike to the Hollywood sign.  We can see the Hollywood sign from our place so we thought it shouldn’t be to hard to get there.  Well I was wrong, really really wrong.  We had to drive to the top of Beachwood Drive, then hike 45 minutes up a couple of winding trails.  We still weren’t that close to the sign but close enough to take a few happy snaps.

Breakfast in Surry Hills

This weekend was crazy busy for Shane and I.  So sorry in advance for the short post and only one photo.   Am wearing my fantastic new Zambesi leggings again.  I love them, have worn them already 3 times in one week.  They are so warm and comfy.  I paired them with my The Cause Hi Boot by Jeffrey Campbell and all day people were staring at my legs trying to work out if I was wearing really high boots or pants and boots combo.  I got so many comments.  I also got a lot of the stink eye but I’m kind of used to that.

Snowy New York

Today was my nephews 11th Birthday and luckily I was in New York City to celebrate with them. It’s COLD in New York, well at least cold to me. I running around with about 4 layers and a huge fur coat and sometimes I’m still cold.
I also travelled to my old stomping grounds in Brooklyn and hung out with friends. All and all a great day in NYC.

Wearing my Christian LaCroix vintage bustier, Don’t ask Amanda leather Skirt, Siren Gucci copy boots and Cotton On tee shirt and Diva necklace.

Me standing in the snow thanking the heavens that I brought this huge fur coat.

Location Location Location

Today I went on a recky for a location for an upcoming shoot with fabulous photographer Paul Green. We drove up to the Blue Mountains and found the most magnificent place. So exciting. Paul took some amazing shoots of the location and some ok shots of me.
I am experimenting with harem pants. I have to say they are extremely comfortable if a little weird looking. I felt a really strange walking around this country town in my extreme heels and harem pant outfit. Though I felt comfortable and confident, I can see how this is a look that wouldn’t be embraced by the masses.

Using Inspiration

Today’s dressing adventure saw me looking to Ms Diabolina of My Super Sweet Fashion Diaryfor inspiration. She posted about her love of skinny jeans. I started thinking about wearing jeans today and then I saw all the lovely photos of the people that inspired her look and decided I’m going to do my own interpretation.

Rage against the Machine

I ‘ve had a few comments about my take on Glunge. I’ve been told it’s too much glamour not enough grunge. Today’s dressing adventure had me thinking about this. I decided to dress down a bit but still incorporate some glam. My boyfriend jeans, Stella copies and a motorcycle jacket were the go to pieces today. So did I do Glunge any better this time?

Hanging out and Stuff

Today’s dressing adventure was a lazy one. This is my weekend and I enjoyed a wonderful sleep-in this morning and woke up the wonderful sensation of not having any flatmates to be bothered with (of course one of them came home later on but by then I was blissfully chilled out and didn’t care.
I had some errands to run and wanted to walk Matey while doing them, so I threw on this fab Milk and Honey Jacket and my Sass and Bide pedal pushers and hit the streets. Gotta love Sydney right now, beautiful sunny days.
I apologise now for the lack of make up – couldn’t be bothered.

Feeling Blah

Today I didn’t have a “dressing adventure”. I was in a panic, I felt like crap from lack of sleep but I had 4 meetings back to back very early this morning. Today I dressed partly for the rainy cold weather and partly because I lack inspiration.
I’ve been feeling a bit low, the fashion industry is tough and I’m feeling a little down from all the rejection I’ve been getting lately. I need to develop a thicker skin.
