Gap’s Fall Looks

Amazing new looks for the Gap this Fall.  According to The Cut, Patrick Robinson is going to go beyond the classics that Gap are known for and design more fashion focused pieces little by little with each season.  Well if the Fall lookbook is anything to go by then they are achieving their goal.  See the rest of the Lookbook here.

I hope it comes to Australia soon cause those pants would be slamming for our Aussie Winter.

Sensational Saturdays

Went to the Art Gallery of NSW, placed money in a piggy money-box for good fortune, watch shopping, dinner at the Dolphin, caught up with Markus, then drinks at the Trinity with Bingers and the girls.  Yeah, fun day.

Weekend out and about and photos with new tripod

This weekend my flatmate organised a night out in honour of his lovely sister visiting Sydney. I had in mind all day what I wanted to wear but sometime around midday I took violently against the outfit and decided I had to find a replacement.

I was shopping around my favourite vintage spots and found the most amazing peasant top and after a bit of haggling purchased it to wear.

On Sunday I decided to get a tripod so on the days the Jo doesn’t have time to take my photo or on weekends, I can still do an outfit post.

Had a second date and wanted to dress more like myself than my first date. But this time I also didn’t feel the need to tone it down. This me, like it or lump it.

Yellow can be a boring colour

Still on my quest to wear my all my shoes, I pulled these out of the closet this morning. Today’s dressing adventure turned out really boring because these shoes are a bit boring. They are Gary Castles, an Aussie brand, that I purchased years ago when I first moved here. This top is the exact same colour (I never wear this either) so I thought I would be boring and do the matching thing.
I do love this jacket though, I think it toughens up the outfit a bit.

Global Warming or Climate Change . . . I’m a believer

On Friday a freakish thing happened in Sydney. It was cold, I mean jacket wearing cold; and it’s the middle of Summer. I was going to dinner to celebrate the wonderful SL’s birthday and originally I had on shorts and heels, when I walked out of my apartment building I immediately froze. It was way too cold for shorts. I ran back upstairs and changed (even though I was already 15 minutes late!). So thus started Friday’s dressing adventure.

It’s funny there has been so much talk about Global Warming, well that isn’t happening in Sydney, it’s more like Global Freezing, I guess the real term should be Climate Change because it’s getting warmer in some parts of the world and colder in others. I’m concerned, what kind of world will be left for my grandchildren? I’ve always tried to live greener but now I will no longer try but do. New Years resolution 1. live greener.

Another day in the office

KG and I are the only ones on our floor today. It’s very very quiet. I wish I were home, I have a few shoots to research for January and I can’t get inspired to do it here.

Today’s dressing adventure started with me an this wonderful scarf tie thing. I purchased it last weekend for $4 from Zoo Emporium. I love that it can be worn as a belt, scarf, tie or whatever your imagination lets you do. A classic white shirt and a simple skirt and viola, an outfit is made.

Really High Platforms and A Happy Balance

Today’s dressing adventure was nice and easy. It started yesterday when I took back the black and grey Nine West shoes and exchanged them for a pair of green satin platforms. After watching the hot new Bond movie with my fantastic son, I went home I tried this outfit on and showed my wonderful flatmate. DC loved the shoes and I’m really happy with today’s outfit.

Travelling

Today’s dressing adventure started out last night. I’m going to see the wonderful Alicia Keyes this weekend in the Hunter Valley. CB and I are driving up tonight and staying the weekend and I started packing last night. Unfortunately the weather is horrible. It’s raining (it’s an outdoor concert!) so I will have to break out the gumboots. I decided to opt for Easy Chic for the drive down. Today is my last day as head PA so I thought I could get away with something a little more casual.

Today’s outfit is brought to you by: Sleeveless Cardi & Top – Cotton On, Pants – Gap, Bracelets – Vintage, thrifted via Uturn and Ebay, Pendant- thrifted via Ebay, Chain – Surry Hills Markets, Shoes – Bellezza (from Zomp)

Best Gap ad ever!

I just got a tip from reading Coco’s Tea Party. She alluded to the best Gap ad ever and when I viewed it, I have to agree.

What do you think?
