Feeling the Wang

Yesterday I went on a sight recky with fantastic photographer Markus Van Driel. We visited an amazing beach that isn’t used very much in Sydney. That could be because it has a reputation for surf gang violence. The Bra Boys have given Maroubra a bit of a bad name.

Whilst wandering up and down the cliffs I got Markus to photograph me. I told him how much I LOVE Alexander Wang and that I tried to do an inexpensive version of one of my favourite looks from the Fall 2009 collection.

I love this look, the denim shirt with tailored black trousers and those fabulous shoes. In my version I trade the pants for ruched leggings and the shoes without the rings. I think this is going to be my new favourite outfit.

Presents from the BF and more copy adventures

Today’s dressing adventure started with my fantastic new boots. These are a great copy of the Gucci studded boots. They are by Tony Bianco purchased from the fabulous Maxx shoes on Bondi Beach. I LOVE them and heart my fantastic boyfriend for picking them up for me. Today I paired the boots with my old jeans, shirt sweater combo and my new GStar neoprene jacket – perfect for Bondi Beach.

Tagged and Working from home

A while ago, actually a long while ago Alicia from Instant Vintage (one of my FAV blogs , link to the right under Fav blogs) tagged me to photograph where I blog from or my work space as such. Well I don’t have an office and I am one of those ‘have laptop will travel’ people so I blog from anywhere. But most of the time I’m right here on my couch working & blogging.

Not such a fashionista today. Am waiting for a few couriers to come and take away all the lovely gear from last Sunday’s shoot and researching the next two shoots. It is getting cold in Sydney so the Uggs will be the slippers of choice.

Today’s non fashion outfit is brought to you by: Checkered shirt – vintage thrifted via Cream on Crown, Tank (singlet to the Aussies) – Bonds, Jeans – Old Navy, Necklace – old gift from old ex, bangles – mixture of vintage and gifts, Ugg boots

More on Walking the dogs

Today I really really really wanted to sleep in but alas, I have two dogs who need to walk so it wasn’t going to happen. By the time I got back from the morning walk, all I wanted to do was crawl back in bed, which I did.

When I got up a couple of hours later, I decided a long walk into Paddo was just what both the dogs and I needed. Window shopping for me and more exercise for them. My dressing adventure started with my fab Jcrew sweater. Jcrew is getting so much press since the lovely Michelle Obama has made it fashionable. Don’t you just LOVE her style? I paired the sweater with my Ruby Denim jeans and my pink lace converse all stars. I threw a pink polka dot scarf on my neck and was good to go.

I think I like taking silly photos. Scary.

You are too old to wear that . . .

or so I was told by my son today. Thus began my dressing adventure. I’m running around today and it seems summer has returned so I thought shorts and a tee were the best option. I don’t understand why I need to look a certain way to be a mother. But nevertheless, this isn’t the first time my son has said such a thing and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Today I’ve ignored him, too hot to care.

Today’s outfit is brought to you by: White tank – Supre, Black cami – Winter Silk, Shorts – Old Navy, Bangles – combination vintage thrifted via Uturn and gift from NE, Necklaces – combination vintage thrifted via Uturn and Ruche.com, Shoes – Siren

Christmas Eve and I’m working :(

Today’s dressing adventure wasn’t an easy one. It’s Christmas Eve and the last place I want to be is in the office where there is only one other person on duty. It’s nearly midday and I have had 2 calls! I don’t have a photographer today so I used the self timer. As you can see the results are less than satisfactory. After about 20 different attempts I decided this is the best one (especially cause my head is cut off).

I purchased this dress a while back from Ruche.com and absolutely love it. I’ve worn it a few times to go out, it has an extremely low neckline, but have been dying to wear it to work. The dress is very sheer and unfortunately this photo exposes the fact that I’m wearing a slip.

Today’s outfit is brought to you by: Dress – Ruche.com, Camisole (under dress) – Bonds, Belt – gift from MC, Necklace – Equip, Bangles – vintage thrifted via Ebay, Shoes – Aldo
