Neon Days

Apparently I haven’t bring bringing my fashion A game to Fashion Week so I stepped it up few notches. I used my fab neon Accessories from my previous post here and added a black JCrew tee and my Burberry Britt pencil skirt. I have to say I really love this look and I was super popular for the first time in my life with the photogs at fashion week.

From Elle to the FLS

I recently bought a fabulous pair of Lulu Frost for JCrew earrings and loved them so much I decided to buy the matching bracelet.

Waterloo Wanderings

Yesterday Shane and I decided to wander around the suburb of Waterloo.  Waterloo is a relatively new development.

In the last 5 years it has grown to be a hub for foodies with some amazing restaurants like Fratelli Fresh and the Dank Street Depot.

There are also some amazing art galleries there and of course wherever there is art, Shane and I like to wander around.

I don’t know how but we ended up at the Toys R Us in Moore Park where Shane took a picture on a horse.

We ended our perfect day wandering around the Sydney Antique Centre on South Dowling Street where I tried on the most ginormous pure aquamarine ring I’ve ever seen.

Breakfast in Surry Hills

This weekend was crazy busy for Shane and I.  So sorry in advance for the short post and only one photo.   Am wearing my fantastic new Zambesi leggings again.  I love them, have worn them already 3 times in one week.  They are so warm and comfy.  I paired them with my The Cause Hi Boot by Jeffrey Campbell and all day people were staring at my legs trying to work out if I was wearing really high boots or pants and boots combo.  I got so many comments.  I also got a lot of the stink eye but I’m kind of used to that.

Stripes are inspirational

Today’s dressing adventure took inspiration from the movie “Coco Avant Chanel”. There is a scene when Coco Chanel is watching fisherman bring in their fishing hauls and she is admiring their striped jumpers. She then makes one for herself solidifying the love of stripes by French women.

For some strange reason I dreamt this scene and woke up knowing that I would wear this sweater and jeans. I threw in the vintage scarf and my polka dot wedges and voila I feel very Coco avant Chanel.

Breton Stripes and Cowboy Boots

Today’s dressing adventure started with this photo from Who What Wear.

I love this stripe sweater. I bought it years and years ago from Jcrew. The next item of focus are these cowboy boots that I bought over 2 months ago resale from Uturn. They smelled a bit mildewy so have been sitting on my balcony with dryer sheets. The smell is still there but not as bad. If anyone out there knows how to get rid of the smell, please let me know.

And for those of you who asked for it, a close up of my new Louis.

Having a Miu Miu Moment

I often look at the Jak & Jil blog and drool over all the photos. I also often save photos from their blog in my ‘fashion inspiration’ folder and use the inspiration for my own fashion as well as prospective shoots. Today is the first time I’ve tried to copy a photo exactly.

My interpretation
Today’s dressing adventure of course started with these fab shoes, unfortunately mine aren’t Miu Miu but a great copy by Wittner Shoes. Both the shoes and the jeans, which are Levis 501s, are recent acquisitions. I decided to treat myself since I decided to give up my office and get a new flatmate. Life it too short to work so hard for just an extra room.

Presents from the BF and more copy adventures

Today’s dressing adventure started with my fantastic new boots. These are a great copy of the Gucci studded boots. They are by Tony Bianco purchased from the fabulous Maxx shoes on Bondi Beach. I LOVE them and heart my fantastic boyfriend for picking them up for me. Today I paired the boots with my old jeans, shirt sweater combo and my new GStar neoprene jacket – perfect for Bondi Beach.
