Expecting the Unexpected

Today has been such a full on day. My dressing adventure started with CB coming over to discuss the final details of her EP launch tomorrow. After that meeting I had two others plus I had to pick up all the gear for the shoot. Lots to do and only a few hours in the day to do it with.
I started today’s dressing adventure with this one shoulder Marni inspired dress. I love all one shoulder items because they show off my tattoo. This dress isn’t too flattering when unbelted but I was in a flowy mood and didn’t feel like wearing a belt. It’s cold in Sydney so leggings and boots are a must.

Today Ms CB took my photos. I felt a bit silly posing for the ex-model (who really really knows how to work the camera).

More Meetings

Today’s dressing adventure was a defiant one. I had a meeting with my new bosses and I’m working out my notice at my old job. So I decided that new job takes preference and dressed for that.

I love the one shoulder look. This dress is by one of my fav Aussie labels, Morrissey. This is last season but still looks so in the moment now. I think I’ve only worn this dress 3 or 4 times but I look at it everyday.

I wore a red shawl at work to disguise the one shoulder issue and I think it all was ok.

Ahoy there Matey

Today’s dressing adventure was one of extreme caution. It seems every time I wear white pants, some kind of accident happens. This time, during my walk with the dogs Vernon and the lovely Doggie were rolling around in the dirt play fighting and brushed up against me. I didn’t think they did too much damage till I went home and saw the twigs and dirt all over the bottom of my pants. Of course I had 10 minutes till I had to leave and in that 10 minutes I had a lot to do. So hosed down the pants and off I went. I hope they look ok from the back.

Today, even though I’m wearing shoes I’ve rarely worn on the blog, they weren’t my inspiration, today I looked at these white pants first, they remind me of sailor pants, I wanted a nautical feel today.
So paired up the pants with my stripey top, added the funky denim jacket and polka dot wedges, voila – Nautical.

Really High Platforms and A Happy Balance

Today’s dressing adventure was nice and easy. It started yesterday when I took back the black and grey Nine West shoes and exchanged them for a pair of green satin platforms. After watching the hot new Bond movie with my fantastic son, I went home I tried this outfit on and showed my wonderful flatmate. DC loved the shoes and I’m really happy with today’s outfit.
