Uscari at the RAFW
As Andre Leon Tally said in the September issue, my eyes were starving for beauty, and thank goodness for Uscari because they made me feel excited about fashion week again.
Using the gorgeous hues of blush, cream and peach, designer Krystel Davis dug deep in to her girly dreams to design the most beautiful and edgy collection I saw yesterday.
“Forms take their own shape as Uscari explores the succession of residual dream feelings. Dresses float with chiffons and silks , singlets are bound in broken stretch cotton, and trousers are detailed in gold leaf effect.”
The designers use of layering mesh with open knit weaves brought about the illusion of opacity while still remaining sexy. An great mixture of prints of peach and blush adored with her signature metallic accents allows this collection to shine “in a sequence of lights”.
This collection really made me happen stayed and watched the show.
