Random Weekend Photos
Last weekend was so much fun. Totally relaxing with my Bestie Bingers aka Charmaine Bingwa, shopping, glass of Rose, and watching Tiaan Williams concert with Shai.
NYFW Day 6 – My Mother Had a Fashion Moment
Yesterday I had a few non-fashion things that desperately needed to be taken care of, like getting my passport renewed so that I can leave the country. Most important.
My mother and I thought because of the hideous snow that was still coming down in the morning, even though all the weathermen the previous evening reported that it would end at midnight, we should leave really early for my appointment.
The really early start was a mixed blessing. We arrived at the Passport Agency early and got through the whole process in less than thirty minutes, but this left us at odds as what to do till our lunch date with, get this, my year two teacher.
I decided to bring my mother to the tents and show her around. Firstly we attempted for the fourth time with no success, to organise a voucher for my press bag, then we sauntered off to the tents. I had to school my mother on a few things since my pass was not one that allowed me to bring in others. She had to saunter, not walk, no umbrellas, and have a haughty “I belong here” look. Of course my mother was perfect and we walked right in.
My mother was in awe of how fantastic everything is inside. From the Starbucks coffee lounge to the Lufthansa Booth, everywhere you turned someone was trying to get your attention so they can show you their wares.
My adorable mother left with three bags of stuff and then we headed uptown for our lunch. It was an absolute JOY to visit with Ms Fishbain, my year two teacher and dear friend of my mother’s. We had lunch at a fantastic old diner and just chatted and had the best time.
When lunch was over, I was all fashioned out and just wanted to head home which is what we did. It was an awesome day, the only downside is that I didn’t take any photos. But below is an adorable photo I took of my mother early in the day.

Today I really really really wanted to sleep in but alas, I have two dogs who need to walk so it wasn’t going to happen. By the time I got back from the morning walk, all I wanted to do was crawl back in bed, which I did.
When I got up a couple of hours later, I decided a long walk into Paddo was just what both the dogs and I needed. Window shopping for me and more exercise for them. My dressing adventure started with my fab Jcrew sweater. Jcrew is getting so much press since the lovely Michelle Obama has made it fashionable. Don’t you just LOVE her style? I paired the sweater with my Ruby Denim jeans and my pink lace converse all stars. I threw a pink polka dot scarf on my neck and was good to go.
I think I like taking silly photos. Scary.

Much Needed Retail Therapy
After losing my phone this weekend and then coming in to work this morning and having all sorts of drama, I decided that some shoe shopping was in order. My boss generously gave me a gift voucher for Christmas and coupled with Nine West’s holiday sale, I knew exactly how I was going to spend my lunch hour.

Not completely sure about the beige and black pair. I know I have heaps of things I can wear them with but I feel as if they aren’t mad enough.
