Rage against the Machine

I ‘ve had a few comments about my take on Glunge. I’ve been told it’s too much glamour not enough grunge. Today’s dressing adventure had me thinking about this. I decided to dress down a bit but still incorporate some glam. My boyfriend jeans, Stella copies and a motorcycle jacket were the go to pieces today. So did I do Glunge any better this time?

Welcome to my office

Times are hard in Sydney at the moment. I’ve tried unsuccessfully for 2 months now to find a flatmate to share my apartment with. I’ve decided that I will work an extra to nights and keep the room for myself as an office. It’s a bit of an undertaking cause it will mean working a fair bit more and infringing on my shooting time but I feel that it’s a move in the right direction. Soon I’ll be working less at the store and shooting more for money and then it will all be worth it.
In the past my living room / lounge area served as my office and was always crowded with clothing, racks, bags and my kit. Not a great place to entertain. So here is my new office, and me posing like the happy girl that I am now in it.

Geisha Shoes

Today’s dressing adventure finally saw me wearing my new Stella McCarthy copies. They are fabulous and soooo comfortable. I could walk all day in them. I also decided to wear my Maharishi dress, I love wearing dresses with pockets.

I really love these shoes, they remind me of Geisha shoes with the wooden heel. I’m going to take inspiration for the Shoe Girl and wear them with skinny jeans and cool top really soon. In the meantime I’m loving them and going to try to work them in my wardrobe with everything.

Daily Fashion & Adventures in Copies Part 3

Today’s dressing adventure was a HOT one. It’s stinking hot out today, 31 C, 95 F and just walking down the road is painful. I think we also have really high humidity today. I opted for the easiest, coolest dress I could find.
I’ve noticed a lot of bloggers wearing checks and plaids and I thought today was a good opportunity to get into the game. I usually pair this dress with all red accessories but sticking to my plan of wearing all my shoes, I opted for pink.

This is me trying a silly model pose

Sneak Peek! Stella McCartney For LeSportsac Fall ’08

Fab Sugar Reports:

It seems like only yesterday the announcement came that Stella McCartney would design for LeSportsac. A year or so later, the collaboration is still going strong. LeSportsac just released the Fall collection that will appeal to mommies, hikers, and fashionistas alike. The colour palette is based on earth tones — bark, black, and plum — and the silhouettes are functional and minimal.

The 11-piece line, retailing from $85 to $450, includes handbags, luggage, canteen bags, and backpacks. Stella has paid a lot of attention to detail by incorporating compartments for cosmetics, notepads, water bottles, phones, etc. Deer lovers will be happy to know that each bag is accompanied by a gold deer charm. Also, all the fabrics are made from 100 percent recycled materials. Mother Nature would be proud.
