Today was the last day of Aussie Fashion Week and I honestly have had enough dressing up. Since my ASOS.com order didn’t arrive till I came home from my last show, I have had to scramble every morning to get my outfits together and it’s been really stressful. Last night I wined and dined with two of my fashion hommies, photographer Natalia Horinkova and makeup artist Maree Spagnol, and we did a bit of late night shopping. I am embarrassed to say that I have never walked into the Sydney Topshop, my lovely hommies rectified this immediately by showing me around the shop. While checking the store out I found this super comfy dress. I love the splashes of blue.
Once I got it home I knew that all that was required was lady shoes and a lady bag and not much else.
Wearing Topshop dress, Rayban sunnies, Lovisa earrings, stack rings and bracelet (all on sale right now!), Jimmy Choo pumps, Louis Vuitton handbag.
And my hair did alright as well.
Apparently I haven’t bring bringing my fashion A game to Fashion Week so I stepped it up few notches. I used my fab neon Accessories from my previous post here and added a black JCrew tee and my Burberry Britt pencil skirt. I have to say I really love this look and I was super popular for the first time in my life with the photogs at fashion week.
And my hair looks fantastic still too.
Wearing ASOS.com peplum jacket and necklace, JCrew tee shirt, Burbery Britt pencil skirt, Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, Cambridge Satchel bag, Alexis Bittar ring and bangle, Peter Lang earrings, and Ray Ban sunnies.
The fabulous OMG Fashion recently sent me this fantastic Geek sweatshirt which completely saved me as the clothes I ordered two weeks ago from ASOS.com has gotten lost. How an express shipped supposedly trackable order can go missing is beyond me but nevertheless, it’s gone and I don’t have any wintery tops to wear.
I love it, sweatshirts are so on trend for winter and this particular one sums me up very nicely
Wearing Geek sweatshirt from OMGfashion.co.uk, Rag and Bone jeans, 3.1 Phillip Lim shoes, Alexander Wang handbag, Ray Bans sunnies, Bulgari watch, Giles & Brothers earrings, Tiffany bracelets, Marc Jacobs black rubber bangle, and silver bracelet gifted from Mexico.
Hair turned out ok too.
So this is my first fashion week as a Naturalista. I know this isn’t a big deal, Julia Jamois Starr and Solange Knowles do it all the time but I have never seen an Afro at Australian fashion week so I was a bit apprehensive. Now because I am working a lot and a bit busy, I don’t have time to see heaps of shows but that is no excuse to not dress up at least a little bit.
The original plan was to wear one the outfits I ordered from ASOS.com but as of right this minute that package still hasn’t arrived (it’s almost a week late). I didn’t panic (very unlike me) instead we worked our closet and used the the Red Accessories from my previous post here and paired with an ASOS dress I received ages ago and added a cute leaf broach from Pure Magik, a great shop on Crown Street in Surry Hills.
I wanted Solange fierce but ended up a bit lady like instead.
Dress and sunnies by ASOS.com, earrings and red stoned ring by Peter Lang, bracelet from a random shop, broach from Pure Magik, shoes are Luchessi from Zomp shoes.
Here is a close up of my hair.
I really wanted these shoes by Gianvito Rossi but by the time I got my pockets in order, they were sold out in my size on Net-a-porter.
So instead I got these Lucchesi look a likes from Zomp Shoes online.
They are perfect to match with this fab Botkier bag I scored at Shopbop. It’s still available in several great colours here.
Of course I didn’t stop there, I had to buy a few jewelry pieces to match. The ring and earrings are by Aussie jewelry designer Peter Lang. You can purchase them his website here. The bracelet was a rare find from an odd shop that no longer exists. Great Hermes copy.
When you put it all together, they look great. I think I will wear them with a fab blue dress I recently acquired on ASOS.com.
I will post full outfit pics when I put it all together during the Mercedes Benz Australian Fashion Week that is coming up in a few weeks.
Tell then guys.
Since I chopped off all my hair, I have been experimenting with colour and I decided to get on this Neon trend and see what it’s all about. I also took this opportunity to purchase my first ever pair of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes (like I needed much convincing 😄👠😀).
You can purchase these fantastic shoes via Net-A-Porter here.
I couldn’t just stop there, I had to buy accessories to match.
The earrings are by Aussie Jewellery designer Peter Lang and available on sale here.
The necklace is by ASOS available here.
The ring and bracelet are from American Jewellery designer Alexis Bittar available via Shopbop here and here.
But I didn’t stop there, I bought a fantastic Cambridge Satchel Neon yellow handbag to complete my look.
I think it came together nicely.
Now all I need is a simple black dress to pull this all together. The search begins.
