Questions Answered Part 2 – What do I Carry in my Handbag

It’s answer time again. One of the questions I received was “what do I carry in my handbag?”

Well last year on my honeymoon, my husband and I stopped off in Cannes, France. While wandering around, we walked into the Louis Vuitton store and purchased this fantastic handbag at a great price, even got my tax back.

Now this bag is deceptively larger than it looks. I can pack in a whole lot of stuff.

I carry with me every day the items you see above. My iPhone and iPad, my sunglasses and reading glasses, my card case, my wallet, my collapsible Woolworths shopping bag, some hand cream from The Jojoba company, papaw ointment, deodorant, hand sanitizer, pocket mirror, nail file, compeed blister pack, pen, keys, earphones and my two memory sticks.

A lot of stuff for such a dainty lady bag.

More questions to be answered in the coming weeks, including my hair regime and what is in my kit.

Have a great week.

Splash of colour

Today was the last day of Aussie Fashion Week and I honestly have had enough dressing up. Since my order didn’t arrive till I came home from my last show, I have had to scramble every morning to get my outfits together and it’s been really stressful. Last night I wined and dined with two of my fashion hommies, photographer Natalia Horinkova and makeup artist Maree Spagnol, and we did a bit of late night shopping. I am embarrassed to say that I have never walked into the Sydney Topshop, my lovely hommies rectified this immediately by showing me around the shop. While checking the store out I found this super comfy dress. I love the splashes of blue.

Once I got it home I knew that all that was required was lady shoes and a lady bag and not much else.

Wearing Topshop dress, Rayban sunnies, Lovisa earrings, stack rings and bracelet (all on sale right now!), Jimmy Choo pumps, Louis Vuitton handbag.

And my hair did alright as well.

A Monochromatic event

I  really miss doing outfit posts so I decided the other night to take a few photos of myself doing the Monochromatic clothing trend.  I chose black and white (I always do) because those are my two favourite colours to wear.

I love that this trend never really gets old or goes out of style.  Though now that I have TWA I think I will need to dress a bit girlier.  I’m going to explore the floral and peplum trend and see how that works with my new short hair.

What I wore – 45th birthday celebration

Yesterday was my 45th birthday and I have missed doing outfit posts so I decided to go ahead and step in front the camera once again.

My lovely family and friends took me to see Looper Gold Class and it was fantastic! I dressed up for the occasion a little bit. I must say that I am kind of glad that the weather here turned a bit cold cause I got to wear my fabulous Stacy Lomman Cape.

Wearing Stacy Lomman cape, French Connection top, The Row jeans, Alexander McQueen belt, Master Slave shoes, Louis Vuitton bag, Kenneth Jay Lane earrings.

This also gave me a chance to show everyone my new hair. I have chopped it all off and am going natural.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

Wearing Lanvin for the Opera House

This weekend Shane and I went to the Sydney Opera House to see the most entertaining show.  We saw the Wau Wau Sisters in a show entitled “The Last Supper” as part of the Sydney Festival.  This fantastic show had everything from comedy to acrobatics to music.  If you are in Sydney I highly recommend trying to get tickets, not only is the show a lot of fun, it’s in the most beautiful venue on this side of the hemisphere.    The Sydney Opera House with it’s gorgeous view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and it’s fantastic restaurants is housed in the most amazing building.

For this occasion I decided to break out the Lanvin for H&M dress that I received as one of my Christmas presents from my AMAZING man.  I have to admit that I wasn’t too impressed with the collection.  Not only were the designs a bit off but they were poorly made.  But saying that, I really fell in love with this dress.  I paired it funky accessories like my fantastic Wendy Brandes NYC rings and my Prada copies by Rubi shoes.

I was such a beautiful night.  I wished I took my camera, the sunset over the bridge was spectacular.

Last night I had the great pleasure of walking the red carpet and seeing Tomorrow, When the War Began.    I can truly say it restored my faith in Aussie film.  Great production, the crew should be really proud.  And a big thank you to Anthony for getting Shane and I our tickets.  It was soo good to hang out with you and your beautiful lady Joanna.  I also want to send a super special thank you to Carl and Weihan of Carl Kapp for lending me this fantastic dress.

Breakfast in Surry Hills

This weekend was crazy busy for Shane and I.  So sorry in advance for the short post and only one photo.   Am wearing my fantastic new Zambesi leggings again.  I love them, have worn them already 3 times in one week.  They are so warm and comfy.  I paired them with my The Cause Hi Boot by Jeffrey Campbell and all day people were staring at my legs trying to work out if I was wearing really high boots or pants and boots combo.  I got so many comments.  I also got a lot of the stink eye but I’m kind of used to that.
