What I wore – 45th birthday celebration

Yesterday was my 45th birthday and I have missed doing outfit posts so I decided to go ahead and step in front the camera once again.

My lovely family and friends took me to see Looper Gold Class and it was fantastic! I dressed up for the occasion a little bit. I must say that I am kind of glad that the weather here turned a bit cold cause I got to wear my fabulous Stacy Lomman Cape.

Wearing Stacy Lomman cape, French Connection top, The Row jeans, Alexander McQueen belt, Master Slave shoes, Louis Vuitton bag, Kenneth Jay Lane earrings.

This also gave me a chance to show everyone my new hair. I have chopped it all off and am going natural.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend.

Black Swan

Wearing UnNaked Feather Shoulder Tee, Forever21 Feather Skirt and Master Slave Shoes

Last night was “Date Night”.  I kind of hate that term but in long term relationships, it ‘s necessary to have these kind of evenings.  Shane and I went to see Black Swan with Natalie Portman.  I saw it a few weeks ago with my bestie but it was soo amazing that I really needed to see it again.  The Story within the Story was incredible and Natalie Portman’s performance is truly Oscar worthy.

For this “special occasion” I decided to dress with the Black Swan theme in mind.  I purchased this feathered shoulder tee shirt last year from The Dirty Launderette which has now closed.  Thankfully you can still purchase UnNaked items from their website – http://www.getunnaked.com.  The skirt was the last purchase I made on my New York trip earlier this year.  My lovely brother gave me a gift voucher to Forever21 which I promptly used to purchase a few things before I left.  This Feather skirt is a perfect match with my tee for my Black Swan theme.  The only thing I’m missing is the Black Swan ring from Wendy Brandes that I wish I had.  You can purchase it here from her fantastic website.

If you haven’t seen the movie I suggest you rung out and see it now.  It is definitely an unforgettable experience.

Last night I had the great pleasure of walking the red carpet and seeing Tomorrow, When the War Began.    I can truly say it restored my faith in Aussie film.  Great production, the crew should be really proud.  And a big thank you to Anthony for getting Shane and I our tickets.  It was soo good to hang out with you and your beautiful lady Joanna.  I also want to send a super special thank you to Carl and Weihan of Carl Kapp for lending me this fantastic dress.

Champagne Weekends

This weekend Shane whisked me away to the Hunter Valley for some wine, cheese and romance.   We stayed at the absolutely fantastic Chateau Elan.  This spa resort was soo lovely.  The staff were incredibly nice and everything from our amazing spa room to the beautiful grounds was amazing.  It was a lovely weekend.

Having a Master Slave Moment

The regular readers of this blog with know how much I LOVE Master Slave.  Eleni and Roderick have created a label worth coveting.  From the fantastic asymmetrical dresses and tops to the amazing shoes, there isn’t a piece in this shop you won’t love.  I also adore all the men’s fashion.  If you want to look like a rock star then you need to be wearing Master Slave.

Shane and I originally walked into the store to purchase a white shirt (with a difference) for him but walked out with a shirt for him and a pair of shoes and amazing Pocket dress for me.

Being me, I had to wear the shoes at the first available opportunity which just so happened to be the next day.  They are amazing, Eleni designed them with extra cushioning on the balls of your feet so you can walk around in these babies all day.  Also the back strap is designed so it doesn’t dig in.  The shoes can be purchased off the website.  Click here if you are interested in purchasing them.
